The government took so much time to pass Right to Education Bill which will be implemented from April 1, 2010. Two decades ago, the Apex Court termed right to education as fundamental right of every child in the country. Now, this has finally become a reality.

Kapil Sibal has revealed many useful facts related to the act. All private schools will need to improve their infrastructures and present all details on their websites for transparency in the education. All these schools will get recognition within 1 to 3 years after the RTE comes into action on April 1. And these private schools can’t charge exorbitant fees by any pretext including development fee. And they need not to pay their teachers equal to what teachers of govt. schools get. They cannot indulge in profiteering. There would be no capitation fee or overcharging.
