Following global standard and psychologists’ advice, HRD Minister has advised Delhi government to raise children’s age from 3 to 4 for nursery admission. According to him, a three-year old child is physically, mentally and psychologically unprepared to go through any form of schooling. A child should be taken care by parents until age 4. Delhi CM Sheila Dixit loved the idea and said she has no objection about this.

According to psychologists, a 3 year old child doesn’t have enough communication skill. They are not even potty-trained. They should remain in homes for they may feel a sense of isolation and early depression in schools. There was a huge consensus among all stakeholders about this matter. They all love the idea. It might be followed from next year.
